Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The role ensures cost efficiency, prepares accurate estimates, and manages budgets throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Certify subcontractor and supplier payments.
- Provide advice on cost control, procurement strategy, and contractual claims.
- Prepare project progress and financial reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, etc.).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
