Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting in food service areas, and supporting kitchen or hospitality staff. The role ensures that guests, staff, or residents are provided with a clean, organized, and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, or service areas.
- Wash, dry, and properly store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Assist in setting up dining areas, arranging tables, and serving as required.
- Support chefs, cooks, or supervisors with basic food preparation tasks.
- Dispose of waste safely and keep work areas organized.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or stewarding is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of basic hygiene and sanitation practices.
